The Legacy Continues - Capital Campaign December 2022

2022.10.31 - Main Entrance (1)

Dr. Jennifer Caskey and Zach Urban, co-chairs of the Legacy Continues Campaign, are pleased to welcome Dr. Vernon Ritzman to the Campaign Committee.

Dr. Ritzman is a retired primary care physician and a strong supporter of Lutheran’s over the years. He brings knowledge of the community and his camaraderie with other physicians to the group.

Kathie Repola, executive director of the Lutheran Foundation, is excited to announce that Community First Foundation has made a major contribution to the Lutheran Medical Center Foundation’s Legacy Continues Campaign.

With this $3.1 million gift, the Lutheran Foundation will have raised more than $8.7M, which is 73 percent of the five-year campaign goal. To show gratitude and acknowledge the partnership, the new central outdoor public gathering space in the new hospital will be named in honor of this support and for Community First Foundation.

“We are grateful for the many years of partnership with Community First Foundation and their support of the health and well-being of the people of Jefferson County,” said Grant Wicklund, President of Lutheran Medical Center. “This generous gift will help us continue the Lutheran legacy and fulfill our mission of helping people live the healthiest lives possible.”

Kelly Dunkin, president and CEO of Community First Foundation, said: “We are committed to helping our friends and neighbors in Jefferson County stay healthy and thrive. We are proud to be a long-time partner of Lutheran Medical Center and support their efforts to deliver high quality health services, from emergencies to welcoming babies into our community. We recognize the critical role health plays in our community’s ability to thrive, and we look forward to continued partnership in promoting health and wellbeing.”
