Stroke Team Receives Highest Designation from American Heart Association

Denver, CO - The Stroke Program at Saint Joseph Hospital has received the 2020 Stroke Gold Plus along with Honor Roll Elite and Honor Roll Type 2 Diabetes designations from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. This achievement acknowledges the quality measures utilized by the Saint Joe’s Stroke team in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients. These practices include evaluation of the proper use of medications and other stroke treatments aligned with the most advanced, evidence-based guidelines with the goal of helping patients live longer and healthier lives. “Gold Plus” is the highest designation and makes Saint Joseph part of an elite group of hospitals.
