St. Vincent Healthcare Seeks Local Trade Partnerships on State-of-the-Art Replacement Hospital

St. Vincent Healthcare, part of Intermountain Health, has served the Billings community for nearly 125 years. As a leader in Montana healthcare, committed to providing exceptional care to the region, St. Vincent is thrilled be entering its next chapter with plans to build a brand-new, state-of-the-art replacement hospital. As part of the design phase, St. Vincent is actively seeking to partner with local tradespeople and businesses to bring this vision to life.
“Working hand in hand with local trade partners, Intermountain Health and St. Vincent Healthcare are committed to strengthening the Billings community and beyond as a quality healthcare provider and as a corporate leader supporting and partnering with local and diverse businesses,” said Jen Alderfer, president of St. Vincent Healthcare and the Montana | Wyoming Market for Intermountain Health. “By collaborating with local trade partners, we aim to leverage the knowledge, experience, and community pride that these professionals bring to the table.”
Among the local subcontractors already selected to help with the design phase are TrueNorth Steel and MT Contracting, Inc.
“As a 5th generation Montanan, and one whose own mother was raised in Billings, I’ve been extremely proud of the work we’ve completed in Billings. But nothing will top being a part of this new hospital,” said Scott Gearhart, president of MT Contracting, Inc. “My great-grandparents and grandparents received care at St. V’s throughout their lives, two of my aunts and one of my uncles were born at St. V’s, and my mother received critical care as a young kid who was hit by a car on Rimrock Road back in 1961. Being part of a legacy project that will provide region leading healthcare for future generations of Montanans is a tremendous source of pride.”
The new hospital construction project presents a wide range of opportunities for local tradespeople to showcase their expertise and contribute to the creation of a world-class healthcare facility. The hospital is actively seeking partnerships with dozens of trades including, but not limited to:
- Plumbing and electrical contractors
- HVAC technicians
- Construction and finishing trades
To learn more about project opportunities and the pre-qualification process, local and diverse trade partners are encouraged to attend an outreach meeting on June 14 from 4-6 p.m. hosted by the project’s general contractor, Layton Construction, at the Mansfield Health Center on the campus of St. Vincent Healthcare.
