Dr. Arnold is joining us from Providence-Swedish Health Services in Seattle, Washington, where she served as Chief Medical Officer for Swedish Medical Center in the community of Issaquah. During her tenure, her focus on growth, transformation and stewardship brought improved performance outcomes that endured the impacts of COVID-19. Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and subspecialty-certified in Neuromuscular Medicine, Dr. Arnold held a variety of clinical and leadership roles across Swedish Health Services, including Regional Executive Medical Director of the musculoskeletal service lines. Before joining Swedish, Dr. Arnold served as Chief Medical Informatics Officer and as Medical Group Vice President for Regional West Health Services in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Dr. Arnold is a graduate of Texas A&M and completed her residency at the Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. In 2021, she earned her Executive MBA from the University of Washington in Seattle. She is an avid runner, an outdoor enthusiast, and has summited numerous Pacific Northwest peaks including Mt. Rainier, and 42 of Colorado’s 58 fourteeners. She is excited to move to the Grand Junction community, continue her Colorado adventures, and enjoy the splendor of the western slope.

“I am thrilled to join the community and honored to team up with the skilled caregivers and leaders at St. Mary’s to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to the people of the Grand Valley and beyond,” said Dr. Michele Arnold.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Arnold to St. Mary’s Medical Center and Western Colorado.
