Caregivers at SCL Health Medical Group - Red Lodge,  now Intermountain Healthcare, are supporting the local community through a donation to the CART (Carbon County Area Ride and Transit) program as part of the Caring Spirit Campaign.

“Every year, our staff participates in the Caring Spirit program. We usually choose the rural health program and select a new organization locally each year to donate to,” shared Jessica Kinzley, RN. "We really look forward to being able to do this for the organizations in our community because we all live and work in Carbon County. When it came time to select an organization, CART was first on the list this year. We know that it is a great service to our community. With gas prices going up and the need for transportation in the area, it was an easy choice."

Through the Carging Spirit campaign SCL Health, now Intermountain Healthcare, caregivers can donate funds to an organization or program of their choice of choice to support the needs of our communities, especially the poor and vulnerable.  Since its inception, the Caring Spirit campaign has raised over $4 million in the spirit of the mission of our founders, the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, to provide compassionate care to all.

The CART program provides county-wide public transportation service for ALL residents of Carbon County. The organization's two 6-passenger mini-vans are ADA accessible, with a ramp to handle wheelchairs easily. It also provides service to Billings and Laurel.
