It takes many different units to make a hospital like Holy Rosary Healthcare function. Similar to the gears in a clock, each unit is instrumental in making the overall structure work properly. At the heart of this function is Holy Rosary’s Environmental Services (EVS) team.
Led by David Serrano, the EVS team works diligently behind the scenes to ensure the cleanliness of the facility. During a global pandemic, where protecting our patients and associates is a top priority, the EVS team consistently does their part in mitigating germs from within our walls.
Rather it be Sarah Lee and Miranda Anderson, who clean 27 public restrooms each day, Manny Saiz, who cleans and disinfects 63,451 square feet a day, or supervisors, Irene Hoppe and Amy Schmidt, who are crucial to the EVS operations -- or housekeeping, who performs an impressive 142 discharges, just during the day shift -- each member of the EVS team is dedicated to making our facility as clean and safe as possible.
“Each member really embodies our mission of caring spirit and good humor and is truly committed to making our hospital as immaculate as possible,” said David Serrano, Director of Dietary and Environmental Services. “We have a saying at work that we are the ‘ambassadors of Holy Rosary Healthcare,’ and that is truly something that I am proud of.”
Thank you to our Environmental Services Team for continuing to work hard and making the safety of our community a top priority!
