BROOMFIELD, COLO. — (January 25, 2018) – SCL Health, a faith-based provider of nonprofit healthcare services, today named Janie Wade as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She assumes the CFO role from Lydia Jumonville, who was named President and Chief Executive Officer of SCL Health in October 2017.
“We are delighted to welcome Janie to our ministry,” said Jumonville. “She’s demonstrated a proven track record of excellence throughout her career, and her industry expertise is invaluable. After a national search that brought us a number of outstanding candidates, Janie quickly rose to the top as the right leader to take on this critical role. I’m confident she will continue to chart a strong financial course for SCL Health that will enable us to fulfill our mission to improve the health of the people and communities we serve, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.”
In her role as CFO, Wade will lead a high-performing financial organization, providing systemwide strategic oversight and direction for finance, accounting, payroll, treasury, revenue cycle, supply chain and real estate. She will work closely with SCL Health’s board of directors and executive leadership to reinforce market positioning and support strategic growth initiatives, leading ongoing efforts to increase productivity, improve efficiency, reduce expenses and standardize operations.
“I am excited to be a part of this dynamic and mission-driven organization,” Wade said. “I’m committed to building upon the organization’s financial strength to enable SCL Health to grow and continue to meet the needs of its patients and invest in its communities.”
Wade has served in various roles of progressive responsibility with Baylor Scott and White Health since joining Baylor Medical Center at Ellis County as Vice President of Finance and Entity Compliance Officer in 1999. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Baylor Scott and White Health, with responsibilities that included leading the revenue cycle and health information management teams for 22 wholly-owned and managed hospitals and clinics, as well as oversight for preparing Baylor Health Care System’s five year financial plan and budget, financial analysis including capital modeling, new business pro forma development and financial performance modeling, and overseeing teams responsible for hospital cost accounting, decision support, supply chain analytics, productivity, benchmarking and revenue cycle analytics.
A Certified Public Accountant, Wade holds a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where she graduated magna cum laude. Wade has served as a board member and co-chair of The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano Finance Committee and Careflite, a nonprofit ground and air ambulance service. She joins SCL Health February 26.
