What is dementia?

Dementia is a general decline in a person's mental abilities that is severe enough to interfere with daily life activities. It affects memory, problem solving, learning and other mental functions.

Symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. Every person experiences symptoms differently. Common warning signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease include:

  • Challenges in planning or solving problems
  • Confusion about time or place
  • Difficulty completing familiar tasks
  • Memory loss that disrupts daily life
  • Trouble speaking or writing 

Living with Alzheimer’s disease

There is no cure for dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. However, medication and lifestyle modification can relieve some symptoms. Our team will work with you to find a treatment plan to help maintain your quality of life.
