Neuropsychologists

Neuropsychologists specialize in how brain function relates to psychology and behavior. Specifically, clinical neuropsychologists use neuroimaging tools and neuropsychological testing to find any physical abnormality in the brain that affects mental process, like cognition, memory, impulse control and mood regulation.

  • Neuroimaging Specialist: A neuroimaging specialist is an expert in the use of high-resolution imaging tools. Some of the tools they use are functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), positron emission tomography (PET) and electroencephalography.
  • Neurodevelopmental and Neuromuscular Neurologists: Neurodevelopmental and neuromuscular neurologists can improve the quality of life for patients who are diagnosed with neurological conditions that affect their long-term development, such as cerebral palsy and Down syndrome.
