Tools and resources

Use our health and fitness calculators to track your progress and gauge how strenuously you should exercise:

  • Body mass index calculator – Your body mass index, or BMI, is your body’s fat-to-muscle ratio. A high BMI can indicate that your body has a high level of fat and you may be at risk for some health problems, such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes. Calculate your BMI.
  • Calorie burner counter calculator – Calories are necessary fuel for your body. We all naturally burn a certain amount to keep our body functioning. However, any calories consumed but not used is stored in our body as fat deposits. Use our calculator.
  • Target heart rate calculator – According to the American Heart Association, your target heart rate is an ideal number of heart beats per minute during exercise. Reaching this target means you are burning calories, but not overdoing it. Find your target heart rate.

Get the facts about conditions, procedures and treatments in our free online health library. The more you know, the more likely you are to achieve your goals.
