Wound Care

Approximately 8 million people in the U.S. live with chronic wounds, more than the number of people with breast, colon and lung cancers combined. These wounds, which persist and won’t heal, often are caused by diseases like diabetes that affect blood circulation. Chronic wounds also may occur in people who use wheelchairs or are bedridden.

Chronic wounds such as ulcers are painful. They can cause stress and impact your overall physical and emotional health. If a wound remains painful for more than 30 days, has a bad odor or is red or inflamed, please seek treatment.

Our wound care team may include doctors, wound care specialty nurses, physical therapists and other experts. We provide advanced treatments to accelerate healing and manage troublesome wounds.

Read inspirational stories from our wound care patients.

Once we diagnose the cause of your wound, we’ll develop a treatment plan to manage or heal the wound and prevent another from forming. Your care team also will provide education and support resources to teach you how to help your body heal.
