Well child care
Children grow and develop quickly in the first few years. It is important that they have frequent well-child visits, at least once every 6 months until they are 2 years old. After 2 years of age, most doctors recommend children's preventive care screenings occur at least once a year. During these exams, your doctor will take your child's height and weight, assess their physical skills, review social and emotional development, and ask you about different behavioral health tendencies. Your pediatrician will also provide services for screenings, vaccinations and immunizations, hearing tests and vision tests. After your child starts school, these visits can be school physicals or sports physicals.
