Weight Loss and Bariatrics Education and Support

You’re tired of fighting the weight and ready to make a real, lasting change in your lifestyle. Is weight loss surgery right for you?

If you’re considering bariatric surgery, we invite you to attend one of our free weight loss surgery seminars. You’ll learn about our weight loss services, meet the bariatrics team and get answers to your questions.

As with any surgery, there is a recovery process after bariatric surgery. Your care team will follow our enhanced recovery program to maximize safety and reduce risks during post-surgery recovery.

Learn more by watching our video (english version) or ver en español.

Support on your weight loss journey

People who attend our weight-loss surgery support groups are more successful in their weight-loss journey than those who don’t. You’ll meet regularly with people who are going through the same struggles and celebrating the same wins as you are.

Not all locations have support group offerings. For a full list of support groups, including dates and any costs, please use our Events Calendar to search for a support group at a hospital near you.

If you are interested in weight loss surgery, take the next step by attending one of our weight loss seminars.

Tools and resources

Use our health and fitness calculators to track your progress and gauge how strenuously you should exercise:

  • Body mass index calculator – Your body mass index, or BMI, is your body’s fat-to-muscle ratio. A high BMI can indicate that your body has a high level of fat and you may be at risk for some health problems, such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes. Calculate your BMI.
  • Target heart rate calculator – According to the American Heart Association, your target heart rate is an ideal number of heart beats per minute during exercise. Reaching this target means you are burning calories, but not overdoing it. Find your target heart rate.
