If you’re dealing with bone and joint problems, relief is in reach. Turn to us for proven treatments, personalized care and a team that makes you a priority.
Our specialists are experts in the treatment of joint pain affecting the hand, wrist, knee, hip, shoulder, and ankle. We treat a variety of orthopedic conditions, including:
Patient-focused care begins with your first visit and continues all the way through treatment and recovery. Count on us to evaluate both surgical and non-surgical treatments, explain your options and involve you as a partner in your care.
If you need surgery, our “prehabilitation” services prepare you for surgery and your return home. When you’re in the hospital, you’re cared for by doctors, nurses, pharmacists, patient navigators and case managers with special training in orthopedics. Rehabilitation begins right at your bedside and continues in our hospital-based gym. Skilled therapists provide exercises that carry over to home.
Our orthopedic surgeons perform thousands of joint replacements each year, often using less invasive procedures for a faster recovery. Before surgery, you’ll have the option to attend our free Total Joint University classes to learn about everything from pre-op exercises to pain management and getting ready to go home.

Comprehensive care for joint replacement
Platte Valley Medical Center participates in a Medicare initiative called the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) model.
CJR “bundles” the payment of all the services that patients receive during the hospitalization for surgery and 90 days after discharge. This means our doctors, hospital, and other care providers work together to provide you with high-quality total knee and hip replacement care.
We also provide Orthopedic Navigators, who work with our patients before surgery and follow patients for 90 days after discharge to make sure recovery is going well and to coordinate any follow-up care.
Rehabilitation often goes hand-in-hand with orthopedic care. Physical and occupational therapy are essential to the recovery process and your return to regular life. Our therapists rely on their special training to develop a customized care plan for you.
