Women's and Newborn Center Virtual Tour
Tour our Newborn Center with the video below, then have a Q/A session with staff nurses to see what makes us so special! Register for our monthly Q/A plus the Virtual Tour. Class size is limited to 20 families. Your nurse "tour guide" will send you the link for the virtual meeting and tour. Video (Spanish Version)
Baby Basics
Learn realistic expectations for your baby's first months and information and hands-on practice with bathing, diapering, cord and circumcision care.
Birthing Basics - WEEKEND
This two-day class features the same content as Birthing Basics Express, spread out into two class sessions for your convenience and more practice time. Please have two pillows to use at home.
Birthing Basics - EXPRESS
This one-day class is designed to acquaint you and your partner with the labor and birthing process. Relaxation, breathing and comfort techniques for natural labor and birth are practiced. Pain management options are also reviewed. Mild exercise for third trimester discomforts are practiced. Warning signs of pregnancy are discussed. Please have pillows to use at home.
Breastfeeding Basics
Basics of breastfeeding, such as positioning, latching on, nipple care and breast milk supply. Taught by a certified lactation specialist, we'll discuss how moms can incorporate returning to work while breastfeeding. Partners are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Bootcamp for New Dads
First-time dads love this workshop led by men for men. Learn about the unique aspects of new fatherhood by the experts - new fathers and their babies. Topics include: guide to crying babies, dad’s toolbox, caring for new mom, birth and bonding, what to expect after you go home and your role as the protector. This class is offered virtually through Saint Joseph Hospital.
Mommy Mingle
Congratulations! You’re a new mom, now what? Join us for Mommy Mingle. It’s a safe place to connect with moms like you and is led by lactation specialists and other medical professionals. You can sign up for this when you are in the hospital after the birth of your baby. The lactation consultants will provide you with a link when you sign up.
