Some of the more common services we offer include:
Acute illness or infections visit
Acute illnesses or infections occur suddenly and have a rapid onset of symptoms. Typically, acute illnesses and infections will resolve quickly, sometimes on their own and at other times needing medical treatment. Examples of acute illnesses and infections include, but are not limited to, sore throats, influenza (the flu), cough and/or fever, sinus infections, urinary tract infections (a UTI), or broken bones, sprains or lacerations.
Adolescent care visits
Chronic health problems during the teen years can often make physical and emotional development more complicated. Adolescent medicine focuses on addressing the health needs of the adolescent's illness, condition, or injury. Adolescent medicine also anticipates and assesses developmental complications associated with the healthcare needs of the specific medical problem. Healthcare providers in adolescent medicine help adolescents and their families develop strategies to deal with chronic health issues.
Adult physicals
It is important to see your primary care provider (PCP) at least once a year for an overall physical. This appointment is about preventive care and helps your doctor find potential health problems before they become a health problem. Preventive care may include immunizations, lab tests, physical exams and prescriptions. During this exam your provider will discuss your overall health, any concerns and perform a comprehensive exam on your entire body.
Care of geriatric population or elder care visit
Americans are living longer and living well for longer periods of time. This has created a relatively new and growing area of healthcare and provider services, known as elder care. Elder care encompasses a wide variety of issues, including choosing an appropriate healthcare provider to care for an aging patient, specialty care for chronic disease management and making decisions about moving an elderly person from the home environment to a residential care setting.
Men's wellness care
Preventive health is important for men of all ages. Regular checkups are key to living a healthy lifestyle. These preventive appointments provide opportunities to find and deal with medical problems in their early stages. This is when many conditions are more treatable and less threatening to overall health.
Obstetrics
Routine obstetrical care is the care given to mother and her developing baby. Obstetrical care usually includes: monthly visits, until 32 weeks. At that point, we will see you every two weeks, and at 36 weeks, your practitioner will want to see you once a week. During your visits you can expect standard blood tests, genetic screenings, including cystic fibrosis, spina bifida and down's syndrome, obstetrical ultrasounds and referrals for childbirth and baby care classes.
Same day appointments
Same day appointments are available for patients with an acute illness. Please call to schedule an appointment. Examples of acute illnesses and infections include, but are not limited to, sore throats, influenza (the flu), cough and/or fever, sinus infections, urinary tract infections (a UTI), or broken bones, sprains or lacerations.
Our providers have a number of appointments reserved for sick visits. Call 303-603-9400 to schedule.
Sports physicals
Sport physicals are often required before participation in recreational or organized sports. During the appointment, a healthcare specialist will evaluate and determine if you are able to safely participate. During this exam strengths and weaknesses will be noted and a recommendation for the appropriate sport(s) may be given.
Well child care
Children grow and develop quickly in the first few years. It is important that they have frequent well-child visits, at least once every 6 months until they are 2 years old. After 2 years of age, most doctors recommend children's preventive care screenings occur at least once a year. During these exams, your doctor will take your child's height and weight, assess their physical skills, review social and emotional development, and ask you about different behavioral health tendencies. Your pediatrician will also provide services for screenings, vaccinations and immunizations, hearing tests and vision tests. After your child starts school, these visits can be school physicals or sports physicals.
Women’s wellness care
It is important to see your care provider at least once a year for an overall physical. This appointment is about preventive care and helps your doctor find potential health problems before they become a health problem. For women, basic gynecologic care should be included in the overall wellness visit along with immunizations, lab tests and prescriptions. Gynecologic care includes pap smears and testing for sexually transmitted infections and diseases for women of all ages, from pre-hormonal ages to post-menopausal.
