Physical and Occupational Therapy
If you have been injured, are experiencing pain or are unable to perform daily tasks independently, the physical therapy and occupational therapy experts at St. Vincent Physicians are here to help you. We create a care plan to address your specific needs and help you achieve your goals.
The physical therapists of St. Vincent Physicians focus on treating injuries or disorders causing you pain or limiting activity. Working one-on-one with you, they’ll help you move better and avoid re-injury through manual therapies and by creating customized stretching, strengthening and exercise programs. You may request a physical therapy consultation on your own, or your physician or other provider may refer you to us for assistance.
We help patients diagnosed with a variety of conditions, including:
- Back, neck and shoulder pain
- Foot and ankle pain
- Frozen shoulder
- Hip and knee pain
- Overuse injuries
- Post-operative or post-illness rehabilitation
- Sports-related injuries, including tears, strains and sprains
- Tennis elbow
- Work- and accident-related injuries
Occupational therapists are here to help patients of all ages with neurological difficulties develop strength and improve skills, allowing you to complete and enjoy everyday activities as fully as possible. We start by assessing any limitations you may have as a result of a disability, injury or medical condition, as well as any information provided to us by your referring provider. We then develop a plan designed to increase your independence and help you lead a satisfying life.
To gain the greatest benefit from your occupation and physical therapy, St. Vincent Physicians provides you access to aquatic rehabilitation, balance rehabilitation, workplace ergonomic evaluations, motion analysis and more. Physical and occupational therapies are available for patients on both an in-patient and outpatient basis.
