Joint replacement and orthopedic surgery

If you need surgery, our team will provide supportive care for all your needs. Count on us to explain things, help you prepare for surgery and plan for a safe return home.

After surgery, specialized doctors and nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, case managers and others work closely together on your behalf. Certified pain management nurses and our pain management coordinator focus on keeping you comfortable. Extra touches like warming gowns help lower your risk of infection by keeping your body temperature in its normal range; special mattresses reduce pressure points and protect your skin.

Knee, hip and shoulder replacement

Our experience in joint replacement surgery – total knee, hip and shoulder – means better results for you, fewer complications and a quicker return home. We also provide education to help you and a caregiver learn:

  • Safe exercises you can do before surgery
  • What to expect when you’re in the hospital
  • How to prepare your home
  • Where to borrow or purchase equipment and supplies

Reverse total shoulder replacement

We offer a special type of shoulder replacement that is helpful in addressing certain types of shoulder injuries, most commonly rotator cuff tears. In this type of surgery, the surgeon removes the rounded head of the upper arm bone and attaches a plastic socket. Although most people get a standard total shoulder replacement, there are certain injuries where a reserve total shoulder replacement can alleviate pain and provide more mobility.
