Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade
Lutheran Medical Center is proud to have received an 'A' grade in Spring 2021 from The Leapfrog Group for Hospital Safety. The Leapfrog Group is a Washington D.C. based organization aiming to improve healthcare quality and safety for consumers and purchasers. The Leapfrog Group assigns letter grades based on numerous health care quality measures.
Nationally Recognized for Nursing Excellence
Magnet Accreditation
Lutheran Medical Center received accreditation from the prestigious Magnet Recognition Program® in September 2020. Magnet Accreditation is the nation’s top honor for nursing excellence, quality patient care, and innovations in practice. Only 7% of U.S. hospitals have achieved this designation. Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado has also received accreditation from the Magnet Recognition Program® in May 2017.

Baby-Friendly Hospitals
Lutheran Medical Center, Saint Joseph Hospital, and Good Samaritan Medical Center are all designated Baby-Friendly under the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative, a global program sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The initiative encourages and recognizes hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for breastfeeding mothers and their babies. Based on the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding, this international award recognizes birth facilities that offer mothers the information, confidence, and skills needed to successfully initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies or safely feed with formula.

SCL Health has been recognized by The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Digital Health Most Wired recognition certified as level 9, receiving the Performance Excellence Award.
