Hospice Services

Our compassionate hospice team is specially trained to provide comfort, dignity and support for those who choose to spend the final stage of life with loved ones in familiar surroundings.

Experienced and compassionate care

Lutheran Hospice has been supporting terminally ill patients and their families with end-of-life care for more than 30 years, so you can have confidence in our deep understanding of your needs and our demonstrated compassion for providing hospice care. We are one of the few hospices in Colorado to be continually accredited by The Joint Commission, the gold standard by which healthcare quality is measured in the United States.

Whether you desire to spend your final days at home or at Collier Hospice Center, our inpatient hospice center, you will find high-quality, skilled and sensitive care. We offer a full spectrum of services, including home hospice, inpatient hospice, and palliative care in the home. Our services support the individualized attention you and your family members deserve, including:

  • Doctors, who are board certified in hospice and palliative care, are responsible for your plan of care.
  • Highly trained nurses make sure that your pain and symptoms are managed so you are comfortable.
  • Certified nursing aides help you with personal care.
  • Social workers, as your advocates, offer emotional support and can explain your choices about advanced directives and community resource options.
  • Pharmacists review your medications.
  • Chaplains support your personal beliefs and help you and your family with spiritual considerations.
  • Trained volunteers offer companionship and practical assistance.
  • Grief counselors offer support groups and individual counseling.
