Bernice brings her office skills and team ethics to Bridges after having worked for the organization since 1999. Prior to joining us here in the spring of 2012, Bernice worked at Colorado Lutheran Home in Staffing where she demonstrated her organizational skills and attention to detail. She is excited to be a part of the Bridges team.
Jessica Dell Martin, BS
Jessie is a recent graduate from Metropolitan State University of Denver, with a Bachelors of Science in Integrative Healthcare. Jessie is passionate about integrating health sciences with ancient healing practices from around the world. She uses aromatherapy, herbal medicine, and yoga as a part of her daily practices. Her aspirations are to use her skills and knowledge of health and wellness in ways that promote the health and wellbeing of others.
Catherine Jackson, Operations Manager
Cathie has been a part of SCL Health since 2006 and has worked at three of the SCL Health Denver metro area hospitals. Since 2010, Cathie has utilized her degree in Health Services Management to facilitate change and innovation at Bridges Health and Wellness at Lutheran Medical Center. She excels at planning, program development and building relationships to promote health and wellness to associates, patients and the community.
Joining the Lutheran Spine Center in 2018, Cathie coordinates the day to day operations of the clinic. Working closely with the physicians and staff to continue to develop the Spine Center program, she has stepped into this role with a deep knowledge of the SCL Health system and the unique needs of our patients.
Cathie is a founding member of the Destination Wellness team, championing the associate wellness, appreciation and recognition work at LMC. She is currently pursuing a MBAHM at WGU.
Dawn Powell-Londono, L.Ac.
Dawn, a licensed Acupuncturist, has a national certification in in acupuncture and Chinese herbology, and is a registered acupuncturist in the state of Colorado. She also has a certification in oncology acupuncture from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and has a true passion for helping patients through the oncology journey.
Dawn is experienced in treating acute and chronic pain, sports injuries, headaches, women’s issues (including fertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, hormonal issues, hot flashes, night sweats, menopause, and menstrual problems), stress and overall wellness. Dawn works with patients to readjust their lifestyle and improve their overall quality of life using acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Dawn also works with neurological conditions which can respond well to acupuncture. These conditions include dizziness, vertigo, movement disorders and pain syndromes involving the nerves.
Dawn has over 10 years of experience treating inpatients at Lutheran Medical Center where she helps decrease pain and nausea, improve sleep, and decrease stress. She strongly believes that treating patients with acupuncture prior to surgery helps reduce pre-surgical anxiety and stress as well as helping to reduce post-operative nausea and pain. Using acupuncture after surgery can help to repair and eliminate scar tissue (skin and muscle) as well as help patients recover more quickly with as few drugs as possible.
Dawn has experience treating addictions of all kinds using ear acupuncture to help reduce cravings and re-balance physical and emotional systems. Acupuncture can help those who are serious about quitting tobacco or losing weight.
Sports is a very important part of Dawn’s personal life, so she especially enjoys working with athletes to help them perform at their highest level, enjoy their sport and treat injuries so they can recover as quickly as possible.
Lin Liberti, MSTCM, L.Ac., LMT
Lin received her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from CSTCM in Colorado. She also is a Certified Massage Therapist in both Western and Eastern therapeutic massage and has advanced training in Craniosacral Therapy. Lin specializes in treating musculoskeletal disorders, neck, back and leg pain; migraine, tension headaches, neurological disorders, anxiety, insomnia, stress and addictions. She has the passion to help people eliminate pain, restore balance, become well and stay well.
Cherie earned her degree from the University of Connecticut and has been doing nutrition counseling since 1981. She has been the Outpatient Nutritionist and Cardiac Rehab Dietitian at Lutheran Medical Center since 1996. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has been active in the Sports and Cardiovascular Nutrition Practice Group. She has completed additional training in adult weight management from the Academy.
She has expertise working with a wide variety of nutrition concerns. An avid tennis player and cyclist, Cherie helps clients with the attitudes and moods that accompany eating habits as well as helping them choose foods that promote the highest level of health.
Janet Kemper, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Janet graduated from The Muscular Therapy Institute, Cambridge, MA in 1998. The base of her training is in the Benjamin System of Muscular Therapy: which incorporates Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial & friction techniques. She has additional training in neuromuscular therapy, Reiki and hot stone massage.
Janet has a certification in prenatal & postnatal massage and has a passion for working with pregnant and postnatal clients. Janet uses a combination of these techniques and combines them with her background in rehabilitation to provide a treatment that addresses a client’s needs and provides overall relaxation.
Lloyd Mills, LMT, CST, DAFNS
Senior Massage Therapist
Lloyd has created a practice primarily around pain management and injury rehabilitation. He employs elements of deep tissue therapies, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial work and structural integration as the core for this work. A background in qigong massage and tui na (Chinese massage styles) is the foundation for the more subtle aspects of healing; Lloyd also holds a First Degree of Reiki certification.
Lloyd started his practice in massage therapy in 1994 after completing the Year One program at the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado. He then worked for three years in the Anesthesia Pain Management unit at Lutheran as a Physical Therapy Aid and Massage Therapist, further building a foundation of working in an integrated setting to heal the worst causes of pain and provide relief to clients with severe injuries.
Sandra Abel, LMT
Sandra received her 1,000 hour certification from the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado. Her training includes Swedish, Joint Range of Motion, Neuromuscular Therapy, Motion Palpation, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage, Zoku Shin Do, Aromatherapy, Prenatal Massage, Moxa, Cupping and Thai Yoga Massage. She has been practicing massage at Bridges since 2004.
Her belief is that "massage is a tool for transformation" and that massage therapy is one of the many paths to restoring health and wholeness to the body. She is passionate about delivering this ancient art of healing, based on the simple power of touch. Sandra practices an intuitive style of flowing, restorative bodywork, and is honored to facilitate growth, healing and balance in her clients. She specializes in Neuromuscular and Myofascial Release.
Shaun Gothwaite, BA, CNA, LMT
Shaun earned her massage certification at Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 1990. She completed advanced level training programs II & III and was an instructor at MTIC from 1991 - 1999. Shaun has a background in a variety of modalities, including reflexology, manual therapy technique, myofascial release, jin shin jytsu 1-3, pre- and post-natal massage and chair massage.
Shaun has experience treating clients with pain, injuries and stress. Shaun integrates the art and science of massage therapy, helping her clients bring balance into their lives.
