EGD: Upper Endoscopy 

An upper endoscopy (EGD) allows a doctor to visualize your esophagus, stomach, and duodenum, or the upper part of your small intestine. EGD uses a special tube to help diagnose illnesses such as acid reflux or peptic ulcer disease.
