Steven Heil, MD earned a bachelor’s degree in Ann Arbor, Michigan followed by his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. Following his education, he completed an Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center.
Dr. Heil’s practice philosophy is that of patient-directed care. This means diagnosing each patient’s problem, explaining the available options for treatment, and helping the patient decide which course of treatment best fits their particular situation.
As an Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Heil enjoys seeing sport-related injuries, including caring for the aging athlete, and is passionate about joint replacement surgery of the hip, knee and shoulder. When he is not at work, Dr. Heil enjoys spending time with his family, mountain and road biking, radio controlled airplanes and hiking.
