Dr. Gale was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado. From there he moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota where he majored in biology at Macalester College. After working in an educational biology lab for a year he set out to explore other fields of interest, including community supported agriculture, wilderness travel, and Spanish language. During that time he spent accumulated months, if not years, in the deserts of Utah, the mountains of Colorado, and traversing the country of Mexico.
Six years after getting his B.A., he returned to his home state to go to medical school at the University of Colorado and recently finished his residency right here at Saint Joseph Hospital. His previous job was mainly patching up mountain bikers in Winter Park, but now he is back pursuing his interest improving the system of care for underserved populations. When not working he hikes and backpacks with his wife, mountain bikes and skis with his friends, and plays drums in jazz and rock bands.
