Bill is a Texas native, and a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed an internship at Baylor University Medical Center, and his residency at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Following residency, Bill served as the Director of Student Health at University of North Texas, and taught a pre-medical course in infectious diseases as an adjunct professor in the Department of Biology.
Bill joined the Family Medicine Residency in 1993 as a member of the clinical faculty, and completed a two-year research and faculty development fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. His interests are in Evidence-Based Medicine and clinical guideline development. In his spare time, Bill enjoys biking, hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
