Mary has provided health care services to women for the last 20 years-first as a women’s health nurse and recently as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). She is passionate about helping women through all phases of their pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. She believes in patient-centered care, physiologic birth and always feels privileged to attend the births of the patients in her care.
Mary attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She attended nursing school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. She became a Labor and Delivery nurse in 2006, and a nurse-midwife with her doctorate in nursing practice (DNP) in 2017. She spent her first year as a practicing nurse-midwife at a private practice in Lone Tree, Colorado and is thrilled to have the opportunity to work at Saint Joseph Hospital in a practice that supports the midwifery model of care.
