Occupational Therapy (OT)

If performing daily activities is difficult for you, we’re here to provide relief. Our therapists will assess your condition and help develop an individualized care plan. Our goal is to help you get back to living a rewarding life.

What is occupational therapy?

Occupational therapy, or OT, teaches you to perform any activity that occupies your time in daily life. This can mean focusing on developing, recovering or maintaining specific life skills. Our therapists work with those who have mental, developmental, emotional or physical aliments.

OT treatments improve basic motor functions (physical). We can teach you how to compensate for the loss of a permanent body function, like losing an arm or hand. Our therapists can work with improving reasoning abilities (cognitive), like post-stroke patients need. Or OT treatments can address your sensory system needs. Your sensory system is the way your nervous system receives and interprets messages.

At the end of OT treatment, you should be able to perform your necessary life skills independently, productively and to your satisfaction.
