SCL Health Medical Group opens Lafayette neuro, spine clinic
Bringing specialties together helps patients navigate care
SCL Health Medical Group has brought together two disciplines with expertise in spine care at a new clinic location in Lafayette. They will celebrate the opening of the clinic with a ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m., Thursday September 21.
Caregivers with Lafayette Neurosurgery and Lafayette Spine now share clinic space at 340 Exempla Circle, Suite 300. The clinic opened in May offering top experts in neurological and orthopedic spine care.
“Both neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons specialize in and treat spinal conditions,” said Dr. Christopher Awtrey, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Medical Group on the Front Range. “By having our providers practice from the same location, they can more easily consult one another, refer as appropriate and make the process easier for patients.”
Being in the same office also means the medical providers can share resources, including state-of-the-art medical imaging equipment and technology.
Speakers from SCL Health, now Intermountain Health, will give a brief presentation at the event which will be followed by photo opportunities.
