SCL Health Announces New President for Good Samaritan Medical Center

GSMC News

Broomfield, CO – SCL Health announced that Dawn J. Anuszkiewicz, MHSA, will be the new President of Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette, Colorado. Her first day in the role will be November 29, 2021. Anuszkiewicz takes the help from Jen Alderfer, MBA, MHA, FACHE, who was recently named president of SCL Health’s Montana Region and St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana.

Anuszkiewicz comes to SCL Health with a wealth of healthcare leadership experience. She served as the Chief Operating Officer of Reading Hospital - Tower Health, a 714 bed hospital in West Reading, Pennsylvania, for more than two years. Before that role, she spent seven years as the Chief Executive Officer of Ochsner Baptist in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has spent the majority of her career in healthcare management, serving in various roles ranging from Director of Medical Education to Administrator of Academic Services.

“Dawn has a proven track record of fostering a strong and collaborative culture, supporting teams in being successful, and helping organizations to grow,” stated Mark Korth, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for SCL Health. “I know she will continue to build upon the great foundation that’s in place to lead the Good Samaritan team to continued operational and quality improvements.”

Good Samaritan Hospital has been in the top 1% in the nation for three straight years, and most recently, it was named one of the top hospitals in Colorado by U.S. News and World Report. “I can’t wait to start working with our physicians, associates, board members, and community partners as we continue to provide the very best health care services in these challenging times,” stated Anuszkiewicz. “I am grateful for the ongoing dedication of the Good Samaritan.

Dawn’s recent professional accomplishments include developing an incident command structure to support Reading Hospital’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and leading the hospital team through operational optimization to improve overall hospital performance. Dawn has an Executive Education Certificate from the Harvard Business School’s Managing Healthcare Delivery Program, a Masters of Health Services Administration from The George Washington University, and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University.

Dawn has a strong commitment to community engagement, most recently serving as a Trustee for Albright College and Board Member of the Greater Reading Chamber Association. She looks forward to finding similar opportunities for engagement within the Lafayette, Colorado, community soon.
