Jennifer Davenport, MD, has been included on ‘The Top 100 Women Leaders in Medicine of 2021’ list by Women We Admire.

Dr. Davenport and her peers on the list are guiding healthcare delivery, leading changes, and enhancing policy improvements nationwide. The evolving field of medicine requires a depth of knowledge, focus, and collaboration from its leaders. Her commitment to the field impacts individuals daily, transforming outcomes for patients, families, and communities for the better.

“It is a great honor to be included among so many great leaders in the healthcare field,” said Dr. Davenport. “The pandemic has required many of us to rise to new challenges and inspire those around us to find new and more effective ways to improve patient outcomes. I enter the building every day knowing that I can help in many different ways, while at the same time drawing inspiration from all of the amazing caregivers at St. James Healthcare.”

This past year has been the ultimate test for many in the healthcare industry. Dr. Davenport’s unwavering loyalty to the caregivers at St. James and the people of southwest Montana during this unique time has shown her level of expertise and dedication to the field of medicine.

Dr. Davenport practiced as a pediatric interventional cardiologist prior to taking on the Chief Medical Officer position with St. James Healthcare. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. She founded the Women's Section of Pediatric Intervention within SCAI in 2012.

She is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine with an MD and of the University of Michigan School of Public Health with an MHA.
