Are You Masking Up Like Dr. Sarah Stewart?
Billings, MT - Dr. Sarah Stewart, a physician at North Shiloh Family Medicine and her family mask up because they live next to their grandparents and great-grandparents. They are committed to maintaining the health of the community and their family, as they realize that some people may be more vulnerable to the novel coronavirus than others.
“We want to continue to live our lives with them [family], being able to interact with them without putting them at risk of contracting COVID-19,” said Dr. Stewart. “We mask because seven of the people in our family have asthma, and one of us has had a life threatening blood clot in the past.”
The Stewarts take pride in playing a part in keeping the community as safe and healthy as possible. They realize that the virus may not always show symptoms, so they take extra precautions when they are around friends and loved ones, as they may not be able to fight it off.
“We mask because we believe that we are called to love our neighbor as ourselves. Masking is a simple way to attempt to protect those we are around from this virus,” said Dr. Stewart. “We mask because it is a mandate in our state, and we want to be good citizens. We mask because it is the RIGHT thing to do. And we will mask until the threat of COVID-19 is gone.”
