A Message to Holy Rosary Healthcare’s Residents and Family Members

As we are all adjusting to the changes that we are experiencing in our COVID-19 world, we wanted to update you and get you information on the residents. We are happy to tell you that we have no COVID-19 cases at Holy Rosary Residential Living. A big thank you from our team to the Miles City community for following the advice of the experts, leading us to no positive tests in Custer County.  We want to assure you that everyone is doing their best to make sure that the residents are safe and healthy.

Holy Rosary continues to stay updated on the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on prevention steps, including following strict handwashing procedures, social distancing, etc. Also, we have had the time to prepare our plan should we have a positive case.  This plan is being updated as new information comes out.

With our current no visitors policy, we want to remind everyone that there are many modes of communication that are available to keep residents in contact with family. Some of those modes may include:

- Telephone
- Email
- Text
- Video Chat
- Social Media
- Cards and Letters

There are different video chats and social media platforms, including Zoom, Facebook, and others.  Please call us so we can help you find a time and identify a program that you use to have a virtual visit with your loved one. If you are unfamiliar with these programs, please don’t be afraid to call us and discuss how we can best help make this connection. 

We had suggested that families can visit residents through their outside window. Due to security concerns, we now ask that you call us if you want to visit a resident through a window. Residents, patients and associates seeing strange people walking by their window can be very upsetting and confusing. At this time, when you call, we will bring the resident to our entrance so they can see you, as they talk to you on the phone, instead of through their window.

The residents are doing well under the circumstances. They miss the socialization with the community and family. We are finding ways to do some activities with social distancing, such as hallway bingo, getting outdoors this past weekend, and manicures in shifts of smaller groups.  While social distancing is no one’s preference, we continue to adjust and focus on the positives.  Our staff is dedicated to having meaningful interactions and activities with each and every resident.
