Holy Rosary Healthcare (HRH) is pleased to announce that Pearl Hamano recently joined on as Speech-Language Pathologist in Therapy Services. With this employment, Hamano will shoulder the task of upholding the tradition of providing the high-quality speech-language therapy services that HRH is known for.
Hamano is a fully licensed and certified speech/language pathologist having received her undergraduate and graduate training at the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, Colorado. Ms. Hamano brings to us a strong background in pediatric experience with over 30 years as Speech/Language Pathologist with the Miles City public schools. She shares, “I enjoyed my time with students, staff, and families in the public school arena, but felt a need for change and new challenges. The transition to a clinic based environment gives me a chance to serve a broader spectrum of people with communication needs in this community. Miles City is a generous community that has invested its resources in me and my family and I appreciate this fresh opportunity to reflect that same giving spirit through service to our families here and the surrounding communities.”
At Holy Rosary, Hamano will continue to address evaluation and treatment of pediatric as well as adult communication issues related to language disorders, speech sound disorders, stuttering, voice, autism spectrum disorders, and swallowing disorders. As a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) for over 35 years, Hamano maintains current certification standards for continuing education in these areas. She spent 2 years as Continuing Education Administrator for the Montana Speech Language Hearing Association (MSHA) and 10 years as Co-Chair for the MSHA Summer Institute.
As a Miles City, resident Hamano loves meeting new people in the public. Aside from her professional dedication to the community, Hamano is also a member of the Miles City Community Orchestra as a cellist.
Hamano is now accepting appointments. For scheduling, please contact Therapy Services at 406-233-2719.
