Holy Rosary Healthcare (HRH) Mission Council is holding their annual Christmas in July. The Mission Council partners with the Department of Child and Family Services and the Office of Public Assistance to help local families in need send kids to school equipped with new clothes and school supplies.
School age children are available to receive clothing donations. The Department of Child and Family Services and the Office of Public Assistance gather the children’s size information from the families who are in need. The gathered information is then anonymously printed on tree tags and hung on a Christmas tree in the HRH Lobby.
In 2014, the project donated new clothing to 58 children. In 2015, the Mission Council hopes to donate to 70 children. The community and local service organizations are invited to pick up a child’s tree tag in the HRH Lobby and purchase a new outfit for the child.
School supply donations are also being collected to distribute to local schools. The schools then distribute the supplies to children who need them. Schools have suggested the following items for supplies: Kleenex, pencils, crayons, pencil boxes, glue, glue sticks, erasers, backpacks, folders, blunt-tip scissors, rulers, markers, notebooks, and crayons. Supplies can be dropped off in the blue baskets in the HRH Main Lobby and Clinic Lobby.
All donations must be delivered to the HRH Human Resource office before 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 14th.
