Understanding insurance coverage can be complex. We invite you to meet with one of our experienced financial counselors who can help you understand payment options. Our counselors will work with you to check insurance benefits and coverage; however, we cannot guarantee that you will be covered. We have in-network contracts with most major insurance carriers, and we offer the option for you to pay for some programs at discounted rates if you do not have insurance.

The information below will provide insurance information specific to services we offer but we encourage you to contact your insurance company before beginning treatment to learn the details about what services are covered.

Medical Detoxification

Insurance companies generally cover treatment for alcohol and sedative withdrawal. Very few insurance companies will approve coverage for medical detoxification for opiate addiction, however, Medicaid and Medicare will. Our financial counselors will work with you to explore whatever options may be available on a case-by-case basis.

Residential Addiction

Medicaid and Medicare will not pay for Residential Treatment at West Pines. If the Residential Treatment program is not a covered benefit or your plan is not contracted for the Residential Treatment Program, we have a discounted private pay rate.

Outpatient Programs

We offer two outpatient programs, one for behavioral health (BHIOP) and one for chemical dependency (CDIOP). These programs are considered behavioral healthcare. This is an important distinction to make when you are determining your benefits. Many insurance plans handle behavioral health benefits separately from medical benefits. Medicaid and Medicare do cover our IOP’s.

Patients are only charged for sessions which they attend and there is no financial penalty for discharging from the program early

Psychiatric Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization

The length of an inpatient and partial stay will vary depending on the individual’s treatment plan. The severity of the patient’s symptoms and the resources needed to support recovery will affect the total cost of treatment.

We also accept Medicare and Medicaid as a payment option for our inpatient services.

Medication Management

Patients must provide a $50 deposit at the time they schedule their appointment. If the appointment is cancelled with a less than 48-hours notice, or the patient does not show up, this money is not refundable. Otherwise, the deposit is applied toward the patient’s co-payments or other fees. We do not take Medicaid for this program.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

Nationally, approximately 200 million people have insurance plans with policies that cover Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). However, insurance companies require prior authorization, which we will assist in obtaining. You will also have access to the NeuroStar Care Connection Program, a free service that can help you with insurance submission, reimbursement and appeals. Because insurance benefits vary, coverage is not guaranteed.
