Primary Care Screenings and Diagnostics

Regular exams and screenings give you and your family peace of mind. They serve to monitor your health, head off medical problems and detect health issues before they become serious.

Routine exams for your best health

One of the greatest benefits of establishing a primary care doctor is having routine check-ins. Our doctors get to know your medical history and risk factors so they can help you actively manage your health. Routine care includes:

  • Well-woman and adult exams
  • Well-child visits
  • Sports and school physicals
  • Checkups to help you with chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure

Preventive care and screenings

When you see a primary care provider, you benefit from regular screenings that can detect health problems early on. You also have access to immunizations and other measures that protect your health. Preventive care includes:

  • Age-specific screenings and tests
  • Diet and exercise planning
  • Immunizations, such as flu shots or vaccinations against disease
  • Testing for specific diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension

Screenings may involve blood tests and other lab work and imaging services like X-rays. Your primary care doctor will review your results and follow-up with you. Depending on your results, next steps may involve additional or more frequent testing and specific ways to manage your health, such as lifestyle changes or medications.
