Pharmacy Residency Program

St. Vincent Healthcare is a not-for-profit, faith-based, regional destination hospital with a comprehensive range of services including: Level II Trauma Center, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Medicine, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics and General Surgery, Level III NICU and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Residents have the opportunity to mentor pharmacy students from The University of Montana, and interact with physicians from the Montana Family Medicine Residency Program. Billings is conveniently located near the Beartooth Mountains and Yellowstone National Park.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the St. Vincent Healthcare PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is to build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
