Rehabilitation Education and Support

When you start rehabilitation, you enter a whole new world of learning about your condition and recovery. We’ll make sure you understand your condition and provide resources to help you.

Is rehabilitation an option for you?

Rehabilitation therapy can help a wide range of conditions, including simply staying healthy and working to prevent more serious conditions. Some of the more common forms of rehabilitation are:

  • Cardiac rehabilitation
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Orthopedic (musculoskeletal) rehabilitation
  • Pulmonary rehabilitation
  • Rehabilitation for stroke

Who will treat you?

Physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language therapists, or a combination of all three treat most conditions. Other specialists, including nurses and doctors, also will contribute to your care.

Stroke support groups

We believe treating patients means taking care of the whole person. In addition to treating your neurological disorder, we also want to make sure you have the support services and educational opportunities you need to cope.

Not all locations have all classes, events or support group offerings. For a full list of stroke support groups near you, including dates and any costs, please use our events calendar.
