Basheal M. Agrawal, MD

Dr. Basheal (Bobby) Agrawal joined St. Mary’s Medical Center in 2014. He specializes in neurological surgery and is the St. Mary’s Medical Director of Spine Surgery.

Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Agrawal graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a major in biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Madison and completed his residency training there as well. During residency he was honored with the Resident Academic Achievement Award for scholastic excellence. Dr. Agrawal received grant support for clinical outcome research in spine surgery and completed dual fellowship training in orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Agrawal treats all surgical diseases and injuries related to the nervous system, brain, spine, and peripheral nerve. He has advanced training in complex spinal procedures. Dr. Agrawal is committed to delivering the highest standard of care. He takes a global perspective to patient care and treats all patients as if they were part of his family.

Robert E. Replogle, MD

Dr. Robert E. Replogle joined St. Mary’s Medical Center in 2016.  He specializes in general neurosurgery, cerebrovascular neurosurgery, interventional neuroradiology, and neurosurgical spine surgery.  He has been practicing since 1999.

Prior to moving to Grand Junction, Dr. Replogle lived in Rochester, New York, but his roots are in the windy city of Chicago, Illinois.  He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Virginia.   Following residency, Dr. Replogle moved to Dallas, Texas, for a combined fellowship in neuroendovascular and operative cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern.  He is the author or co-author of more than 60 peer-reviewed papers, abstracts, editorial reviews, and book chapters. Dr. Replogle is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Replogle specializes in an array of conditions of the brain and spine, including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVM’s), brain tumors, spinal stenosis, spinal tumors, cervical herniated disc, peripheral nerve damage, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Dr. Brian Witwer joined St. Mary’s Medical Center in 2006 after practicing in Kentucky, Indiana, and in private practice in Grand Junction. He specializes in neurological surgery.

Dr. Witwer received his medical degree from Temple School of Medicine. During his medical training he spent a year at Harvard University at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Oncology Department. There he studied angiogenesis and the biology of tumor vasculature of the brain. He competed his residency training at the University of Wisconsin. During his training Dr. Witwer participated in an in-folding fellowship in minimally invasive spine surgery at the University of Chicago. He is the author or co-author of more than 20 papers, abstracts, and book chapters.

Dr. Witwer specializes in the treatment of brain and spine diseases. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive spine surgery.

Dr. Edward (Ted) Maurin joined St. Mary’s Medical Center in 2014. He specializes in general neurosurgery and has been practicing since 1997.

A Colorado native and a graduate of Grand Junction High School, Dr. Maurin received his engineering degree from Colorado State University and his medical degree from the University of Colorado. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at the University of Vermont. Prior to returning home to Grand Junction, he practiced in Farmington, New Mexico and Portland, Maine. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Maurin has broad, ongoing neurosurgical interests that include minimally and less invasive spine surgery, brain tumors, neuro-trauma, and general neurosurgery.
