If you are receiving treatment for addiction, when necessary we can also help with medications for mental health disorders.
Addiction commonly occurs with mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. Diagnosis and treatment of underlying mental health conditions is a fundamental component of the overall treatment of addiction and sustained recovery. Our integrated treatment model provides the ability to recognize, diagnose and treat psychiatric diagnoses along with addiction. By understanding and treating underlying mental health diagnoses we are able to provide what is needed for an individual to succeed in recovery. After a diagnosis is made, a treatment plan can be discussed. Available personal options for treatment frequently include medications, behavioral therapy, group therapy, or other modalities of psychotherapy
During appointments our clinicians will assess each individual’s prior mental health diagnoses and medication regimens. If appropriate, our clinicians will provide prescriptions, including during an intake appointment, to address these conditions. Our clinicians will also work to coordinate this type of care with an individual’s current prescriber when needed.
