At St. James Healthcare, we take pride in delivering high-quality services to all our patients during their stay with us. To ensure that patients you send to us for a direct admit receive the same high quality service from the moment they reach our doors, we have streamlined our direct admit process as outlined in the following. We’ll need your help to make this process successful for your patients.
After a St. James Healthcare Provider accepts your direct admit patient, it is imperative that you or your representative make a phone call to 406-723-2730 (the call will be answered Staffing or Patient Access). After explaining the reason for the call, provide the following about your direct admit patient:
If, during your phone call with the St. James Provider, you have determined that the St. James Provider will place this call, please be sure to give the provider all the information listed above.
During the call, our Associate will reserve the patient’s bed. The caller can also be transferred to the Clinical Lead on the unit where the patient will be located, so the caller can provide more clinical information on the patient. This will ensure our Clinical Associates know exactly what to expect and will help them make sure your patient feels welcome and comfortable as soon as he or she arrives.
