Paulina Altshuler, DO

Dr. Paulina Altshuler grew up in the Bay Area and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Toxicology from UC Berkeley. She then received her DO degree from Rocky Vista University, where she was a Predoctoral Anatomy Fellow and member of the Rural and Wilderness Medicine Honors Track. She completed a sub-internship here at Saint Joseph Hospital and speaks intermediate Spanish. She loves hiking, climbing, camping, Nordic skiing, yoga, board games, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and cat.
Anna Davids, MD
Eastern Virginia Medical School
Dr. Anna Davids was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She received a BS in Human Biology at the University of Southern California where she ran Division I Track and Field and Cross Country and was an avid football fan. She received her MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School and is passionate about addressing health inequities faced by Hispanic populations. She loves backcountry skiing, trail running, and walking to coffee shops with her Goldendoodle Lucy and husband Eric.
Anna Newman, MD
Tulane University School of Medicine
Dr. Anna Newman was raised in South Carolina and received her BS in chemistry from Wofford College. After completing a Fulbright scholarship in Vietnam, she earned her MD from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. When not running around the hospital she enjoys going for a run in nearby parks, testing new recipes, and listening to the latest true crime podcast.
Jania Arcia Ramos, MD
Duke University School of Medicine
Dr. Ramos was born in Cuba and moved to the U.S. when she was 10 years old. She received her Bachelors of Science in Evolutionary Anthropology at Duke University where she also completed her Medical School. Dr. Ramos is passionate about global health and has participated in volunteer work, clinical training, and research in multiple countries including Guatemala, Belize, Brazil, South Africa, Tanzania, and India. She completed the Paul Farmer Global Surgery Research fellowship during medical school and hopes to continue expanding her global health training. Outside of medicine she enjoys hiking, dancing, playing volleyball, diving and rock climbing.
Brandi Smith, MD
Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine
Dr. Brandi Smith obtained her Bachelor of Science from Penn State University and received her MD from Penn State College of Medicine which makes her a true Nittany Lion. Brandi speaks Spanish and her hobbies are salsa dancing, hiking, cooking, and Zumba. She loves to travel and is interested in participating in healthcare efforts around the globe.
Meghan Mahoney, MD

Dr. Meghan Mahoney grew up in Texas. She speaks basic Spanish. She received her MD/MPH degrees from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in microbiology. Her hobbies are camping, hiking, volunteering in medical outreach programs, reading, knitting and yoga. Her grandfather and aunt are Ob/Gyn physicians.
Laura Palmere, MD

Dr. Lo Palmere was born at St. Joe's and raised in Denver before receiving her Bachelors of Science in Zoology from Weber State University in Ogden, UT where she played Division I basketball. She then went on to receive her MD degree from Loyola University Chicago- Stritch School of Medicine where she graduated with Global Health Honors. She is interested in international health and working towards a goal of global health equity. In her spare time she enjoys playing with her dog, hiking, camping, cooking, backpacking, and exploring different art, food, and music festivals.
Corrie Poelman, MD

Dr. Corrie Poelman received her MD degree from the University of Rochester in upstate New York after obtaining a bachelor’s in philosophy and sociology. Corrie was born and raised in southeast Michigan. She loves music and doing anything outdoors. She especially enjoys biking, cooking, board/card games, and exploring new places.
Sarah Rabice, MD

Dr. Sarah Rabice received her MD degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Ithaca College where she was nominated to the honor societies Sigma Xi and Phi Kappa Phi. Sarah grew up in Clinton, NY and was a ballet dancer. She enjoys swimming, hiking, trying local restaurants, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
Hayley Thompson, MD

Dr. Hayley Thompson received her MD degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of Central Arkansas. Dr. Thompson is an amateur house-flipper and her perfect Saturday is spent at a home improvement store. She loves being a dog mom to her poodle, Tucker, taking spin classes, visiting local art galleries, and days at the beach.
Brianna Dix, MD

Dr. Bri Dix received her MD degree from the University of Colorado, after obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from Trinity College. Her mother is an Obstetric and Gynecologist here in Denver as well. Bri speaks basic Spanish, and loves skiing, traveling, photography, baseball games and comedy shows.

Dr. Arlene Go received her MD degree from Michigan State University, after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. Dr. Go speaks Spanish and basic Tagalog. Arlene has been working in restaurants since she was 16. She enjoys cooking, skiing, hiking, Yoga, softball and traveling.

Dr. Kim Bui received her MD degree from Eastern Virginia, after obtaining her Masters in Biomedical Science. She was also a student tutor for Academic Development in her first year of medical school. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California in Irvine. She speaks basic Vietnamese and knows American Sign Language. Kim enjoys traveling, movies and dogs.
