Our hospital is located in the heart of downtown Denver, and it is older than the city itself. If you’re a city dweller, you’ve come to the right place. Denver is one of the hottest cities in the U.S., with nationally renowned restaurants and attractions, all of which are within miles of our hospital. Many of our employees bike to work or take advantage of the city’s growing light-rail service.

Accredited with magnet status

Saint Joseph Hospital was awarded Magnet status in May 2017, being recognized for nursing excellence and quality patient care. This is one of the highest national honors as only 7 percent of U.S. hospitals have this designation.

The Magnet Commission unanimously voted to credential Saint Joseph’s as a Magnet hospital. In their report, the commission noted several areas of work that were considered “Exemplars.”

Some of the Exemplars Saint Joseph Hospital were recognized for included:

• Daily Safety Huddle which embraces a high level of communication and multi-disciplinary approach to patient care
• Reduction in the Serious Event Rates
• Increase in Patient Satisfaction and Associate Engagement scores
• Consistent instances of nurses partnering with patients and their families to involve them in their care plan
• The Patient and Family Advocacy Council’s “Through the Eyes of our Patients” program
• Door to diagnostic evaluation times in our Emergency Department which outperformed national data
