Surgical specialties

You may need surgery for any number of reasons. Perhaps you were in a bad accident or have just received a cancer diagnosis. You could have a loved one who has a GI issue or a heart concern. Any of these conditions may need a surgical procedure.

In addition to general surgery, which treats a broad range of conditions, our surgical services include:

Types of Surgery

At one time having surgery meant having to stay in the hospital a few days. Today, advancements in minimally invasive procedures, pain control and anesthesia often make it possible to go home the same day.

Technology has transformed surgical care. Often you can avoid the need for large incisions or long healing times. Some surgeries are inpatient, meaning we admit you to the hospital for recovery and monitoring. Others are outpatient, or ambulatory, allowing you to go home the day of your procedure. Your doctor will determine the best approach for you, based on your diagnosis and health needs.
