About

Mount Saint Vincent is one of the Rocky Mountain region's premier providers of behavioral healthcare, foster care services, preschool through eighth-grade education, and trauma-informed training — all focused on children and their families. For 140 years, our innovative programs have helped children reach their full potential within their homes, schools and communities. Our focus on trauma-informed care makes us one of Colorado's most highly regarded human services agencies.

We support children and their families across a continuum of care that includes these therapeutic, educational and counseling programs:

Community Preschool Serving Children Ages 3-5 Years

Our Early Learning Center (ELC) provides a warm, homelike environment that is rich in meaningful and unique opportunities. Staff encourages exploration, creativity and growth in all aspects of child development. We offer small class sizes, a developmentally appropriate curriculum, nutritious food, well-equipped classrooms and outdoor playgrounds. We are proud to share that our program has earned five out of five stars with Colorado Shines, the rating for high-quality programs and practices.

Denver metro families have flexibility with full-day, extended day and summer programs as well as drop-in programs. As a partner of the Denver Preschool Program, residents with a child who is four years of age can receive tuition credits. We also accept the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP).

Foster Care Program Serving Children Ages Newborn-18 Years

As vulnerable children are placed into caring, secure and nurturing homes, our Foster Care Program brings the continuum of care full circle. Our program is child-focused and family-centered. We believe that building on individual and family strengths results in happy children and healthy families.

Through our comprehensive program, we provide training, certification and individualized support to foster families while providing 24-hour temporary care to children who cannot remain in their homes of origin due to abuse, neglect or other safety concerns. Lengths of stay range from short-term emergency care to permanent, long-term care.

Mount Saint Vincent has served the needs of children and their families since the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth established an orphanage in 1883. We continue their tradition by providing treatment, services and help — as well as care and hope — for children recovering from trauma.
