SCL Health Medical Group - Butte

Primary Care Services and Treatments

A primary care provider is just that – the first person you go to for health questions and concerns. When you choose one of our primary care providers, you form a relationship with someone who knows your history and is here for you, year after year.

Family medicine care

Our family medicine doctors manage your and your family’s total health. Unlike other physicians who specialize in treating one particular organ or disease, your family physician is uniquely trained to care for you as a whole person, male, female, child or senior.

What we offer

In addition to diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, your family physician provides routine health screenings and counseling on lifestyle changes in an effort to prevent illnesses before they develop. And, if a health condition arises that requires care from another specialist, your family physician will be there to guide you and to coordinate key aspects of your care. You and your family physician will work together to achieve the best possible outcome in the most cost-effective manner.

Services include:

  • Adult physical – Patient is 18 and above and needs a routine check-up, work physical or well woman exam. This appointment often includes preventive screenings, immunizations and health risk assessments.
  • Children wellness care – A routine examination focusing on healthcare designed specifically for children, including developmental screenings, immunizations and parental guidance.
  • Follow up appointment – A routine examination of a patient after medical or surgical treatment.
  • Men’s wellness care - A routine examination, can be an adult physical, focusing on healthcare designed specifically for men.
  • Office visit - Needs an appointment for specific symptoms, often times this is a sick visit.
  • Well women exams - A routine examination, can be an adult physical, focusing on healthcare designed specifically for women.

Conveniently located in the Regional Medical Arts Pavilion, we are here to meet the needs of you and your entire family whether you need a routine physical or are facing an acute or chronic medical condition. We collaborate with you to identifying the underlying cause of your symptoms and develop a personalized plan to help you get back on your feet.

Our regular office hours at Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, because we know you may need to be seen at times outside of your own work hours, extended hours for some of our physicians are available on Wednesday until 7:00 p.m.

We also offer a walk-in clinic exclusively for pediatric patients Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. No appointment is necessary.
