SCL Health Medical Group - Billings Pediatric Speciality

Pediatric Specialty Services

Our comprehensive network of specialists has the expertise your child needs when they require specialized care.

What we offer

Sometimes your child needs a little extra medical attention. Specialists and sub-specialists focus on the assessment and treatment of complex medical conditions such as heart conditions, diabetes, digestive disorders, neurological abnormalities, and more. The multi-disciplinary approach at our pediatric specialty clinics gives you access to the region’s premiere specialists right in your neighborhood.

Digestive care

Gastroenterologists are doctors that focus on the digestive system, also called the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Our specialists help kids who have trouble swallowing, reflux, feeding difficulties, and stomach disorders. Because children are still growing, gastrointestinal problems often affect development. We treat nutrition-related illnesses that may be a potential problem for children with other GI conditions.

Heart care

Nearly one in 100 babies is born with a heart defect. Our pediatric cardiology team diagnoses and treats congenital heart disease (present at birth) and acquired heart diseases.

High-risk infant follow up

Some graduates of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) have or develop significant developmental delays like prematurity, defects, or illness. We offer information and resources to support and promote your child’s growth through specialized developmental pediatric doctors and a variety of therapies.

Hormone and diabetes care

Endocrinology is the study of glands and hormones. Our specialists treat common problems such as diabetes, abnormal growth, thyroid issues, and problems that can arise during puberty.

Nervous system, brain and spinal cord (Neurology)

Our neurology specialists diagnose and treat disorders of the nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord. They also work with infants, children and teens that experience headaches and seizures, among other conditions.

We support children with a variety of muscle tone abnormalities, including those affected by cerebral palsy or any type of brain injury. Different methods of treatment and interventions are offered at our clinics including medication injections and therapy suggestions aimed at optimizing your child's health and functioning.

Robust range of services

Additionally, our board certified pediatric specialists work closely with your pediatrician to provide expertise care in the following areas:

  • Allergy and asthma
  • Ear, nose, and throat
  • Eye care
  • Orthopedics
  • Surgery

When to call a specialist

When your baby or child is sick, you want the very best for them. Sometimes it’s hard to know when you should seek help from a healthcare professional. Your pediatrician is the best place to start.
