Hormones play an important part in women’s health - including puberty, pregnancy and menopause. But hormones are responsible for so much more! Our inaugural Candid Conversation Lecture Series will feature three topics, hosted by medical experts within SCL Health and Lutheran Medical Center, where you’ll learn about the hormones in your body, what happens when they become out of balance, and what you can do to help eliminate symptoms you’re experiencing due to hormonal imbalance. Event is $15 per person which includes dinner prior to the program.
Hormones are responsible for a huge range of bodily functions from sleep to reproduction. When hormones are in balance, life is good. When they are out of balance, life is, well, less than ideal. Hormone imbalance can happen at any age and can ultimately lead to more serious issues. We’ll discuss the dominant hormones that can wreak havoc on our bodies in this crash course.
Hot flashes. Night sweats. Mood Swings. Weight gain. The symptoms of menopause don’t change from decade to decade but the treatments available do. Learn about new treatments, both holistic and medical, that can help you as you navigate through perimenopause and menopause.
Sugar addiction is real with the average person consuming 19.5 teaspoons of sugar each day! The effects on our health, including our hormones, is disastrous. Discover the ideal foods to eat that will fuel your body and why a sugar detox is important in order to balance and harmonize hormones.
