Whether you desire to spend your final days at home or at Collier Hospice Center, our inpatient hospice center, you will find high-quality, skilled and sensitive care.

Hospice care at home

If you desire to be at home, surrounded by family and friends, we will do what we can to make that happen. Our nurses, doctors, volunteers and others come to you and provide your family with resources to help you feel as comfortable as possible. Your family and caregivers will have access to round-the-clock expertise from our nursing staff to ensure that pain relief and other needs are properly managed.

Inpatient hospice care at Collier Hospice Center

Every family’s needs are different. If you or your loved one need inpatient hospice care, Collier Hospice Center is Colorado’s first facility designed specifically for end-of-life care. Located on the Lutheran Medical Center campus in Wheat Ridge, Collier provides a place for you or your loved one to spend the last days of life in peace. Collier Hospice Center is accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. This means we follow a set of strict standards for measuring healthcare quality as we provide your care. At Collier, you also have access to our full-service hospital and all its services in case you need them.

The Collier Hospice Center includes:

  • 24 private patient rooms
  • Spacious public and private family areas
  • Dining and kitchen area for families
  • Access to secure inner courtyards and other outdoor areas
  • Low windows with great views for bed-bound patients
  • Interfaith chapel
  • Bereavement support for family members for 13 months after the death of their loved one
  • Community reference library and internet access
  • Support group meetings and grief-work activities

Grief support

We provide grief support groups and individual bereavement support. Our support resources are open to anyone in the community who has lost a loved one. We also offer bereavement services to family members for 13 months after a loved one has passed.
