Aaryn Wika graduated from Colorado School of Healing Arts in 2011, ready to educate her clients and assist them on their path back towards optimum health. She believes that every body has the ability to heal given the right tools; whether a simple aligning of the spine and nervous system, a homeopathic remedy, or a massage to break up adhesions and realign tissues. Her passion for her work developed from her last career as an X-ray Technician. During that time she found her love for anatomy, physiology and utilizing natural forms of health care. She also honed in on her talent to help others feel better as a whole and to aid her clients’ knowledge and awareness of their bodies.
Aaryn’s massage sessions are informative and therapeutic as she locates areas of concern that may need attention. She brings intention and healing energy into each session, whether relaxation or deep tissue. She also ends each session with self-care techniques that can include ice/heat therapy and daily stretching.
Aaryn’s massage training includes: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger-point, Neuromuscular, Sports Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Raindrop Therapy, Reflexology, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Healing Touch.
Janey Bell, LMT
Janey graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts in Lakewood, Colorado in 1999 and has completed advanced training in myofascial release techniques, treating running injuries, including assistive taping methods, LaStone therapy and energy modalities.
Her experience as a massage therapist includes working in busy spa environments, as well as working in a chiropractic clinic with chronic pain, auto accident, and athletic injury patients. She has been working at Bridges for the past 8 years. Her emphasis is on individualized integrative massage coming from a heart-centered space and incorporating deep tissue, Swedish, neuromuscular, sports and energy work, helping her clients achieve balance.
Janey also is a motivated runner and enjoys working with athletes of all types to help them work through injuries, maintain health and achieve their athletic goals.
Janet Kemper, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Janet graduated from The Muscular Therapy Institute, Cambridge, MA in 1998. The base of her training is in the Benjamin System of Muscular Therapy: which incorporates Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial & friction techniques. She has additional training in neuromuscular therapy, Reiki and hot stone massage.
Janet has a certification in prenatal & postnatal massage and has a passion for working with pregnant and postnatal clients. Janet uses a combination of these techniques and combines them with her background in rehabilitation to provide a treatment that addresses a client’s needs and provides overall relaxation.
Jeanne Adams, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
As each client is unique with specific goals and needs, so is each massage. Jeanne’s emphasis on Deep Tissue and rehabilitation is best suited for those who pursue a healthy, active lifestyle and believe massage will enhance that lifestyle.
Jeanne is a 1996 graduate of the Boulder School of Massage Therapy. Trained and experienced in a number of techniques such as Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage, Jeanne also has extensive experience working in a rehab environment with a heavy emphasis on spinal conditions and chronic pain management.
Jessie Ivankovich, AOS, LMT, CIMI, CYI
Licensed Massage Therapist
Jessie’s interest in physical and mental balance started in her early years when she participated in martial arts, yoga, and modern dance. Her passion for these mind-body activities broadened into a desire to become a massage therapist. She graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy as a certified massage therapist with an Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Massage Therapy. She has special training in prenatal, postnatal, medical massage, normalization of soft tissues and Zen Shiatsu. She is also certified in orthopedic and sports massage and a certified infant massage instructor. She has been practicing since 2001.
Her enormous respect for the body as a whole, lead her to expand her knowledge in Oriental techniques. She studied internal organ shiatsu at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, traditional Chinese medicine principles, and Kriya Hatha yoga in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is certified in Thai Massage and Hatha yoga instruction.
Whether teaching a class, supporting her clients in recovering from an injury, coping with stress, chronic pain or providing customized education her work and instruction embodies deep peace and integrates all levels of the human being.
Lin Liberti, BS, LMT
Lin is a certified massage therapist in both Western and Eastern therapeutic massage techniques and has trained in the USA and China. She is certified in craniosacral therapy and has advanced training in auricular therapy.
Lin specializes in treating a variety of different health problems, including acute and chronic pain, whiplash, low back pain, migraine and tension headaches, neurological disorders, auditory and stress related problems. These professional experiences have helped Lin to realize her goal of being of service to others in a healthcare profession.
Lloyd Mills, LMT, CST, DAFNS
Senior Massage Therapist
Lloyd has created a practice primarily around pain management and injury rehabilitation. He employs elements of deep tissue therapies, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial work and structural integration as the core for this work. A background in qigong massage and tui na (Chinese massage styles) is the foundation for the more subtle aspects of healing; Lloyd also holds a First Degree of Reiki certification.
Lloyd started his practice in massage therapy in 1994 after completing the Year One program at the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado. He then worked for three years in the Anesthesia Pain Management unit at Lutheran as a Physical Therapy Aid and Massage Therapist, further building a foundation of working in an integrated setting to heal the worst causes of pain and provide relief to clients with severe injuries.
Renee Myers, LMT
Renee is a graduate of the Denver School of Massage Therapy in Denver, Colorado. She has learned many things about the body and its response to touch in regard to healing. She believes that listening to the body spiritually, emotionally, and physically is the key to lasting outcomes. With experience in trigger point therapy, deep tissue, Swedish, cranial sacral, prenatal and energy work, she will do what it takes to bring the client’s body to a positive state of physical being.
Renee recently received her certification in Manual Lymph Drainage in order to help those living with cancer. Manual lymph drainage assists with the relief of swelling caused by lymphedema. Renee believes that massage can help create a more healthy, aware and centered state of being. Her goal is to bring each client to their highest state of wellness.
Sandra Abel, LMT
Sandra received her 1,000 hour certification from the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado. Her training includes Swedish, Joint Range of Motion, Neuromuscular Therapy, Motion Palpation, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage, Zoku Shin Do, Aromatherapy, Prenatal Massage, Moxa, Cupping and Thai Yoga Massage. She has been practicing massage at Bridges since 2004.
Her belief is that "massage is a tool for transformation" and that massage therapy is one of the many paths to restoring health and wholeness to the body. She is passionate about delivering this ancient art of healing, based on the simple power of touch. Sandra practices an intuitive style of flowing, restorative bodywork, and is honored to facilitate growth, healing and balance in her clients. She specializes in Neuromuscular and Myofascial Release.
Shaun Gothwaite, BA, CNA, LMT
Shaun earned her massage certification at Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 1990. She completed advanced level training programs II & III and was an instructor at MTIC from 1991 - 1999. Shaun has a background in a variety of modalities, including reflexology, manual therapy technique, myofascial release, jin shin jytsu 1-3, pre- and post-natal massage and chair massage.
Shaun has experience treating clients with pain, injuries and stress. Shaun integrates the art and science of massage therapy, helping her clients bring balance into their lives.
